How We Review AI Tools

We start with a use case, not a winner. A corporate training platform should not be judged by the same criteria as a short-form ad generator.

Core evaluation criteria

  • Output quality: Is the result usable for the intended job?
  • Workflow: How easily can a user move from source material to a publishable result?
  • Editing control: Can errors and brand details be corrected?
  • Speed: Does the tool remove work or simply move it elsewhere?
  • Pricing and credits: We look beyond subscription price to usage limits and cost of usable output.
  • Commercial usefulness: Does the workflow fit a real business or creator process?
  • Localization: Language, dubbing and voice support matter for international use.
  • Limitations: Important weaknesses belong in the recommendation.

Testing policy

We distinguish between direct hands-on testing, observations from public demonstrations and information supplied by the vendor. We do not say “we tested” when we did not.

Verification policy

Volatile facts such as plan pricing, credit allowances, export limits and language counts should be checked against the provider’s current documentation before purchase.
